How to plan your RMIT timetable

Smoov's Allocate+ import currently supports UTS, USYD and ANU. Enter your RMIT classes manually - broader support is coming soon.

  1. Open Allocate+ (myTimetable) and note the class times for each of your subjects.
  2. Add each subject in Smoov with its lecture, tutorial and lab times.
  3. Block out your shifts and hard nos, then pick what matters: no 8ams, fewer days on campus, a proper lunch break.
  4. Smoov checks every combination and shows you the best few options, with what each one costs you.
  5. Pick one and register those classes in Allocate+ (myTimetable).

Timetable tips for RMIT students

  • RMIT's Allocate+ system (branded as myTimetable) uses a preferential model for higher education - you indicate preferred class times, then the system allocates; VET/TAFE programs use a separate assigned timetable model.
  • RMIT's city campus and suburban campuses (Bundoora, Brunswick) are far apart - a timetable that mixes campuses on the same day means significant travel time; filter by location when entering preferences.
  • Allocate+ (branded as myTimetable) opens for preference entry several weeks before semester - check the Key Timetable Dates page on the RMIT website as this date is published separately from the general academic calendar.
