Scheduling tips for UQ students

• UQ uses Allocate+ (branded as My Timetable) with a preference window that opens then closes before allocation runs - preferences are not first-come first-served; submit accurate ranked preferences, not just your first choice repeated.
• The planner tool in my.UQ is available from the moment the timetable is published (before the preference window opens) - use it to draft and assess combinations without committing.
• After allocation, the swap/waitlist function gives better outcomes the earlier you use it - immediately after timetable release, many students are swapping, creating availability windows.
